Evidence sharing guidance

Share what is needed through an agreed route, while preserving the original record.

Initial contact

Start with a short summary. The contact form does not accept uploads. Do not send identity documents, full account records, seed phrases, private keys, passwords or one-time codes in your first message.

Before detailed sharing

Confirm the engagement scope, recipient, purpose and appropriate transfer route. Ask what information is needed and how it will be used, accessed and retained. Keep copies of the material supplied and a record of when it was sent.

Preserving originals

Retain original files and distinguish annotated or converted working copies. Exact identifiers, dates and source context help an investigator interpret the material. Do not edit an original record to make it appear more complete.

Questions about sensitive material

If you are unsure whether a document should be shared, ask through info@cryptodac.com before sending it.
